    i have a model a
    i have a flathead v8
i have a pontiac fiero steering column
i have a speedway wiring kit
    i have a turbo 350 trans w/an after market floor shift (b&m)

questions: shouldn't all the fuse sockets be hot (checking w/multimeter)
if not how do i get power to them?

do i need to use the two plugs that plug into the neutral safety
switch that attaches to the column, or can i use just the switch
    on the floor shift.

i have an inline brake light switch w/2 terminals. do i run a hot
wire to the switch and another back to both tail lite bulbs.

    thanks ****

  2. There's 2 sides to every box , the side that gets fed and the side with the circuit drawing power. The side drawing power won't be hot unless there's a good fuse in it.

There's also a couple sources of feed. Some are hot all the time regardless of the key position. Some are only hot when the key is in its corresponding position.

The NSS is really important. However you do it make sure it works perfectly.

That's generally how the brake light switch is wired.

If you are intending on using the floor shifter, then use the switch that comes with it. The two sets of contacts on the column are NS and backup lights in most cases, but are only for the column shifter. Brake switch wire goes to turn signal switch if you have turn/brake lights at rear, or it goes right to the brake lights if separate turn signals are existing.
