I want the Vega, the Maverick and the jap trucks. I'm willing to pay up to 9 cents per hundred weight.

  10. Note that the car with the '40 Ford Deluxe front clip on it is actually a '39 Deluxe as indicated by the roll-out windshield--'39 being last year for that feature. Maybe it got wrecked in front and they put a '40 front clip on it, or they changed it just for the sake of changing it. Looks like that poor little '37 Ford pickup spent a few years lying on its right side judging by where it's rusted out. Unusual spot for one to rust through otherwise.

The problem I find with the yards in Wisconsin that I have found is the owners are usually half senile old coots who think their rusty hulks are worth a fortune even though they've been sitting out in the elements, sinking into the dirt for the last two decade. These dopes don't seem to realize that even though there yards are off road there still is a lot of salt that floats all over the place and still attacks the crap they have in their yards. They'll watch the tin disintegrate into the ground rather than sell it for a reasonable price.

I still would like to know where this place is, if for nothing else to save me time by knowing not to go there.

Really though. How hard could it be to find this place. Its not like Wisconsin is a very big state. Just rent a chopper and buzz the state. Not like its Texas or Cali or something.:D

  14. Wow, cool! A red Vega wagon with woodgrain! And a '54 Ranchero with bed-side doors! I want those! No, I don't.

Someone sure was pissed at that '50 Chevy, I'd say, everything you could smash on it's been smashed - clock, radio, glass, visor, hood, roof, even the horn ring and button.

Been there --- Its a full day trip goin thru that yard. If I remember right those Edsels are WA state cars. I almost bought that 54 "ranchero" about 8 yrs ago before it was in that yard.

Some good stuff there, I like that '58 Edsel Ranger, doesn't look too bad.

So nothing is for sale? Or the guy is just cranky? There's gotta be a way to buy some of this shit. Not much as far as projects go but lots of good parts.
