Im starting my first build (36 pickup) and need advise on where to find front wishbones. I would like heavy duty long ones to put the axle out front. what years and models are best?

    39-46 are the longer ones.

  3. Model A wishbones are good but a little short and have a 2-1/4" yolk that needs to be shimmed 1/4" on anything but a model A axle. 32/34 wishbones are the most appealing looking as they are a little less beefy than the 35/41 style wishbone. The 32 unit is about 46" long, 33/34 about 44" and i'm unsure how long the 35/41 unit is? 46/48 are the heaviset looking and have a hook or jog built into the end where they meet the axle and in IMHO they are the least attractive of the bunch but work just as good as anything else. Being a little bit of a fanatic I'd recommend not cutting up a 32/34 part as they are VERY hard to come by, 35/48 wishbones are half the price and very plentiful...
