Technical Wishbone ends cast or forged?

I know that the ends of wishbones are weldable (Ford welded them) but I was not sure if they are cast steel or forged steel. I know they are not cast iron. Thought some one here might know. Thanks Jim Ford

 

Forged as far as I know.
