I've got a dropped '36 axle with a 2" perch boss. Has anyone ever used the later wishbone with a 2 1/4" spread? I ***ume this could be done by heating the end and squeezing it to 2". Would it throw off the original angle? Would heating the wishbones weaken them. What about a spacer?

I have a good set of early 40's bones I would like to use (would cut off spring hangers).

    Thanks for the help!

Use a spacer, no heat. Bet VAPHEAD can supply them.

Thanks for the help. Would you mount the spacer on top or bottom?

Mine are mounted on top but they could be in either location.
