Lets see, where do I start? My wife has helped me pull motors out of cars, put them back in, lift bodies off, put bodies back on, gave me great ideas on projects I've worked on, helped me get a nut or bolt in a place where my hands wouldn't fit. let me spend money on hotrods rather than her new kitchen floor, etc. Im very lucky. Damn I hope she reads this I need more parts, if she does, Thanks honey.

my now ex gf was actually the best, she helped me through some tough times when my shop burnt and was crying when i couldnt, because i was simply too dumb founded to react, she helped me clean up my now former shop and get my car out and even helped sand it back down, and encouraged me to get back on track and do the things I wanted to because now the time schedule was completely thrown out the window. She understood the late nights of me working on my car and never complained. As most of you are reading this you are probably wondering why an ex now she sounds great? she was and I have no idea what happened to this day....... maybe she will figure out what she wants one day................

  4. Mine 'RunAroundSue" here on the board is the absolute best, bar none, hands down. She got part of her influence before I met her from her brother.
Every Friday night, Saturday day/night and Sunday when it is nice she is ready to go. She will come out to the garage and lend a hepling hand, offer advice, and is all ready planning 2 and 3 cars in advance what our next projects should be.
She knows more about hotrods than a lot of guys I know.
This summer will be our 30th anniversary. We plan to renew our vows with a party all centered around our friends who all just happen to be car people.

My wife likes the end result, that is, she likes to ride around and get attention, but freaks out when I talk about spending money on it.

She also was upset when I suggested she park her car outside the garage so I could build a 5-window [IMG].

Not sure she understands the definition of "hobby".

My girl is very supportive of this hobby of ours. She is in the process of buying her own car now, a 1953 Ford Customline. Not only does she drive them, but she has no isssue whatsoever working on them too. On an given weekend morning, she is up at the crack of dawns ass, pushing me out of bed to get some work done!

  9. My old lady give's me crap all the time about my cars. When we first met I told her my love for classic cars and at time I had a 65 Impala SS, real cherry looking. She couldn't understand why it would take me almost 4 hours to wash/clean that car. I would tell her that it's more than just water and soap...first you wash it then you dry it then you wax it, they you use the chrome polish, all clean out the engine compartment good enough to eat off of. Then comes the wheels and tires, then the interior and windows inside and out. I ended up selling that car and bought something else that didn't require the whole 9 yards when it came to cleaning...it was primered. But she would still give me crap, her dad couldn't understand why she would give me so much crap, he used to say at least you know where he's at...either outside turning a wrench or at the local auto part store walking up and down the isles looking at crap I don't need. She sort off get its now, it's an obsession, a disease if you will.

If the person your with doesn't enjoy and respect what you do.. wouldn't that take all the fun outta doing it with them around.... if i didn't love cars as much as i do I doubt me and my guy would still be together.... (not that i don't ever get tired of sittin outside freezin my butt off) but I know that he really loves it and that he did it before i came along plus when i can i enjoy helping out and learning as much as i can from him...

When she does fuck off just remember the OZ family court hates your guts..:D.get somewhere secret to hide your stuff or your new squeeze;)
and get a "property seperation agreement in place as soon as you can before we she gets an order to force you to sell up.(so she can fund her new found lifestyle at the RSL...)
You will find in short order that in Australia there are NO human rights!. As many have found out before you so protect your ass or get her a subscription to 'Adult friend finder' so she has hobby too!...one you can share with her as she brings some hotties over for some FFM action ...:D:D:D:D

my wife knows the only thing ill bring home is, another old car. and if she needs me for something im always in the garage. now she will help pick colors and help line up parts and stuff like that, sometimes even coming out and hanging out in the shop while i work on something. but trying to get her to a show or a swap meet is like pulling teeth!!!! her excuse is "its too hot out there".....oh well at least she never complains about how much i spend on anything.
