I have been looking for patch panels for a 1932 Ford pickup; I see that Wolf Sheet metal has a pretty good selecion. Has anyone used their parts? What is the fit and quality like?
i used the back of cab panel, and the bottom rear cab corners, i wouldnt do it again...i guess if you have no tools to fab your own there better than nothing. matt
I bought them for my truck and I was happy I could not find another place at the time to get corners and skins
Thanks guys! looks like were 50-50 on the patch panels. The rear cab panel is the one I am most interested in.
be prepared to do a lot of straitening. they bead roll in the steps, so who ever is doing the driving of the roller depends on the straitness of the lines. i made a inner structure to help brace the back panel that helped alot. the panels were 20 GA so they were pretty flimsy matt
I also believe Bobby Walden makes panels......and he is a genuis.... I don't have his web address handy my wolf panels were 18 gauge and they seemed to be fine. This was 8 years back though.....They had a lot of stuff that was not on the market back then. and then again, when it comes to 70+yr old car stuff..nothing is good luck.
Just bought floor pans and rocker panels for a 1959 Nash Metropolitan from Wolf. Rockers are good. Floor pans are pretty good but not dead on.
I have been using panels from howell sheetmetal... Just put some door skins on some 34 pickup doors and they were nice... I have used there cowl patchs also..........I just got some more panels from them last week....
