Hot Rods Wood "rear tack rail" 4 a Deuce Phaeton

    Hi Guys :)

    A friend needs a " Rear tack rail " 4 his Deuce Phaeton .
    ( Original wood were Lost at a paint shop .. )
    Where can we find a nice reproduction ? Or paterns ?
    Any leads highly appreciated !

    Wescott Fiberglass sells 1932 Phaeton bodies. I believe theirs has wood around the rear like you are looking for.

    Worth a try :D

    I've made several of these and it isn't too hard. The rail follows the curve of the body and you have to keep in mind that the side pieces slide into the body sheetmetal up to the rear door posts. The top irons also fasten in these side pieces. Making this is time-consuming, but not hard. Also, it is in five separate pieces. Buying one is kind of expensive.

    Thanx 4 your help !! Highly appreciated .
    Time is an issue here , so I guess my friend ( Skilled bodyman, Not so used to woodwork ) will go with what Wescott has to offer ( Thanx Deuce Roadster )
