Wood working tips

    hi all, i have a 1924 reo sedan that i started messing with. i am off to the library to do some research in a couple hours. i am wondering if there are any tips/tricks to working with wood. better types of wood to use? books i should look out for? i did do a couple of searches, came up with minimal help. any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

    Ash, oak, maple were commonly used in old car body construction.
     
  3. Work with your interior person. He/she will have requirements for attaching their work. Nothing like pissing off your stitcher by making something he has to reshape to get a panel to lie flat!

    thanks for the responses. at this time i don't have an interior person. i'm not even sure how long this is going to take me, i am assuming it'll be a while. i'm going to have to do a lot of measuring and cardboard cut out work, cause a lot of the wood is too far gone to use as templates. the library wasn't much help. looks like i'll just have to buy a book.
