G'day y'all. I've been reading this forum for quite a while and never had much to contribute. I recognize a few names from getting around to other hangouts, but have yet to put faces to them. But today I had a tech question and couldn't just post it without at least an intro... My dad was never into cars and not much into working with his hands. I don't know where my it came from, but it began as a teenager pouring over magazines instead of doing homework. Diapered on British wheels (hommage to my Kiwi roots, I guess), teethed on muscle cars for a long time before being weened onto older iron. A couple of years ago I fell in love with 5-6-7 Chevy pickups when a buddy bought one home. His truck came and went, like so many of his projects, but the memory stayed. Fast forward about 7 years and now I am 2 years into my first... a '56 Chevy shortbox. My handle, bc_woodbutcher is due to living in the Great White North (Prince George, BC) and teaching woodshop (and metalshop, electronics and drafting). Be gentle with me, eh.
