sawzall...................................125.00 spot light.................................75.00 case of beer for your helpers....17.50 draggin it out at midnight............PRICELESS
I dig what yer sayin Todd........Thought did cross ma mind I hate doin things the law way but what the hey.........it wouldnt be the first one to turn to dirt
From the looks of it you need to be very careful trying to move it. You need to support it someway or it will fold up like a house of cards. Cool find though, I'm thinking a bad ass alter style dragster. Chopped, channelled and all that shit. Stretched wheelbase, dragster front end with 12 spokes, Moon fuel tank in front of the radiator, big block something blown of course, big ass M/T slicks with parachute out back. You know nothing fancy. Good luck with it!
believe it or not the floor framing (or whatever you call it, what do I know) is in great shape........ my brother in law and I picked it up and the roof must have been on it up until a few years ago because it didn't flex at all..........the floor bracing was the cleanest thing on the car
Yeah, get it before somebody else does..there was a Tall T like that and two RPUs in the wooded creekbed behind my place in San Antonio..I was going to the courthouse looking at deeds trying to find who owned the property, you know the right way, and damn, if one weekend somebody didn't cut two fences in a cow pasture (get a rope) chainsaw down some trees for a path and they either hand carried or winched them outta there..I thought, Damn, I coulda done that! there are still a 36 Ford 2DR, 32 Dodge Bros. etc. back there, keeps me awake at night....
Same here,I know what you mean. Can you believe that none of them will admit to knowing where any old cars or trucks are!
I would have to figure out a way to get doors if it happens. I really like this body style. Until it happens or doesn't, I just have to keep it outta my head (like thats gonna happen)..................would be sweet though
and by no doors i meana piece of sheetmetal welded across the open space.... hehe in case someone was wondering.
Funny, but looks comparable (maybe in a bit better condition) to a T on my father's-in-law property, also in Missouri (Johnson County.) It's been back there as long as anyone can remember, and we're planning on hauling it out in the next couple of weeks and seeing if anything can be salvaged. I'm new to prewar car resto/hot rodding (but not to cars); do people really salvage cars this far gone? Assuming I've done this right, pix of our T should be attached (please forgive; crappy cellphone shots)
Yes. But usually the successful rebuilds came from people who viewed the rebuild as just as much fun as the eventual driving...maybe MORE! They crave the challenge. If your reading the HAMB then you might have it in you...however, the learning curve is a steep one! (The things you learn along the way WILL make you a very capable person!!!) Give us an intro on the intro page and welcome aboard!
cool, that is pretty similar fletcher. you never know just how bad they are till you get them home.....let us know how the recovery goes..... charlie
Cool find. I used to run up on these kinda things all the time when I used to dirt bike ride. I need to remember where they are..
