So... It's been three months, what's up with this build? My girlfriend just pointed at a '62 Ranchero and said "make it so", so who am I to say no! Great, now I'm working on tons of customer stuff and her trucklet! Good thing summer is about here, I'm not doing anything between 12:00 pm and 7:00am...yet!
So.... ever do anything more with this? It's been just shy of a year. I had to dig this one back up and take a look because it reminded me of this last week. The Ranchero I mentioned above turned out to be not exactly what she wanted, so we found a wagon... A '62 to be exact. I told her if she really wants to get it done, she is going to have to help! That girl worked like a trooper to bring the original paint back to shiny by hand - then passed out on the couch for 12 hours... Next week it gets the motor and 5 speed! The Ranchero is mine now! Hmmmm, exactly as I planned!
Well, diggin' around for some info tonight, ( gonna copy your upper A arm cuts ) Our wagon is on the road and I put 500 miles on it this last week alone. 'Course that's not hard to do in a town the size of Phoenix, but not a bad first week! What ever happened to this build? Ever get it on the road? Did the Ranger rear fit? If so, what year? Inquiring minds want to know! Truth be told, this thread popped up at EXACTLY the right time to get me re-enthused about Falcons in general. Just wondered if your ever got done...
We got it on the road and then we got lucky with this: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=741149 and so it was sold to help pay for it. The coolest part of the sale was it is now owned by a 14 year old kid that absolutly loves it. They have continued to work on it and by the time he's old enough to drive it the thing should be pretty sweet.
