  1. Elcohaulic, it might be.I sold it to a fellow H.A.M.E.R. Bruce.

  2. Well my transporter talk to the owner of the station wagon. The owner got it running, then took the battery out{I would pay the owner to get a new battery for it} The wagon has no brakes due to a leak in the system. The transported told me he wouldn't pick up the car because it had no brakes. The wagon is in Raleigh N.C. and I am in Sevierville T.N.Guess I am in limbo now???Bruce.

Station wagons, well I've own 18 of them as tow cars,no two the same but mostly Ford n Merc's,all but one was older then 1965. So yup, I love wagons, even if in the back ground a little behind or a bit in front of my HAMB type 1928A hot rod. Shhhssss, thats how to post a photo of it,LOL

Bruce, there are many guys that dirt race around Maryville, Newport, Morristown, etc. Maybe talk to one of them. They all have trucks, trailers, some with winches. All have experience moving cars that are in less than perfect shape.:DGood luck!

Bruce tell the owner to pinch of the leaking line and fill the master cylinder , it should have brakes then. Gary

  7. Gary. I think he told me it was a line going into the proporation valve box that was leaking. I wonder if that would still work? Thanks Bruce.

  8. Rex I have to hire a transporter out around the Raleigh. If I hire a transporter from around her is will cost a fortune.I have checked aready. Thanks Bruce.

  9. Everyone has too make money. and it cost a lot to be in the transport business. So we must pay high dollar. Or figure a way to haul them ourselves. There was a guy bought a 57 chevy in Texas. It was just a body shell roller. No one wanted to transport a non running car. so he bought a bus ticket from M*** to Texas. And rented a Ryder box truck. And dug two holes for the rear duals to set in. then using boards for ramps a whole bunch of people pushed the car into the truck. Got it home without breaking the bank.

I too have recently (I'm 70) have been experiencing new pains in neck, shoulders and arms.
While doing sessions with a physical the****** they clued me into what was happening and gave me some sheets explaining simple exorcises that work well.
It's important to start doing them only when there is no pain. With me it took a visit to my bone cruncher and several phys. therapy sessions to get right.

Head and neck --- With head up and back in good posture position and shoulders back roll your head slowly around in all directions. Try to look left and right parallel to your shoulders and hold for a few seconds. Push your chin back and hold. Tilt head left and right with and without resistance. Do this before work in order to loosen up and prepare for the strain to come.
Shoulders ---- 1 Maintain good posture when not working. Get an elastic strap and use in resistance to shoulder muscles by doing the following. Loop it around a door knob and take one end in each hand and with arms at your side bend elbows 90 degrees. Back away from the door knob until tension is on the strap. Now maintaining 90 degrees at the elbows and upper arms down at your side, use shoulder muscles only to pull the strap and hold. Repeat.
2 Get a 1/2 Lbs. weight. Fold a towel into a pad and lay it on the edge of the bathroom counter.
Face the counter and bend 90 degrees at the waist resting your forehead on the pad. Hang
both arms down and do ****erfly lifts with 1/2 lbs. one arm at a time slowly raising to
parallel w/floor or higher if possible and back down toward floor. Repeat slowly one arm at a
    time.
Begin slowly and don't go to the limit immediately. Try an every other day routine to start out. Works for me.
The extra bonus is no drugs.

  15. Gary, I talked to the owner about that .I know it would work but he said it wouldn't. He about 6 hours from me so I cant tell him what to do. Thanks. Bruce.

  16. Old Wolf I don't think there a rental truck big enough to hold this big station wagon and I don't even know that many people that would have to push this monster. LOL. Thanks though. Bruce.

  18. Bruce why not buy insurance and license for the wagon. Drive out there with a smaller vehicle. get it running fix the brakes and flat tow your other vehicle behind the wagon. You are going to have to get it running and buy tags ect any way. Its legal to flat tow if both vehicles are licensed and insured. And a wagon makes a excellent two vehicle. Get a friend to go along make it a fun adventure. U Haul rents tow bars and tow dollys.

  19. Thanks for the information Old Wolf I have sealed the deal with the Buick station wagon and have found a good transporter. . The car will be picked up Friday and I will have it Sat.. Thanks Bruce.

1965 cutoff, however musclecars are excluded.
Therefore a '65 Catalina (tasty!) is within guidelines.
    But a GTO isn't.
