NAAAAAH.that's run of the mill. This one was parked across from me at a show 2 weeks ago in Rio Rancho, NM. It was actually pretty cool..........very Mad Max like, even down to the rockets on the roof that shot out flames 20180429_4.JPG

Beauty is in the hand of the beerholder...
Got my transmission back and I'm ready to install it, will be dodging the rain drops since the car is outside.

Got it done and just in time, raining... again. Sort of in a monsoon season here. My buddy Neil stopped by, had to make a run for shifter bushings, 2 were broken. Got the shifter on, all adjusted and took it off. No room to get it in place with the shifter plate on.

My brother stopped by just in time to put the cross member back in, a 2 person job and an hour to do it. The ch***is rails have to be spread apart to get it back in.

Ran it on jackstands a bit, checked the fluid and went for a ride. Shifts great and is quiet.

That'll take quite a few beers to make those beauties.

Finally got sick of those ****py Dorman overflow bottles that cracked at the bottom. Found this one on eBay, think it was around $35. I machined up a bracket to get it on the inner fender. Stopped at Ace for a fitting for the bottom. Definitely an improvement and no puddle after I park it. I need a non-pressure cap for the tank, got it rigged using a zip tie.

Now my electric fan isn't working, attempted to get into a cruise on Friday that starts at 7, it was packed when I got there at 6. Car got hot, maybe 22o but the catch tank worked. Headed for home along the ocean where it cooled off. Will be going out shortly to look at it. I have a 30 amp relay, 30 amp fuse at the battery. Will jump the temp switch first, just ground that to anything metal. Also need to check the fuse on the panel, but that wiring is all new.

009.JPG This is why my fan ****ped out, bad shrink splice.... looked good but 1 end made a bad connection. Only took a solid 2 hours to figure it out. Used a new crimp splice and sleeved it again.
