god old George... We had dinner with him once at a show in Massachusetts- he's a riot .Sat next to my wife.
I guess I have to go if the "glassguy" is going. I'm going to try to get him to autograph my t-shirt while there's still a chance of talking to him!! I'll see all of you guys up there saturday morning. It sounds like the show may even turn a corner and get back on track this year...we'll see!
Has a whole year gone by already, I still haven't washed it off. You're playing on here while your little garage bitches are left all alone? Who knows what they may be doing with (to) each other? I hope they don't get a hold of that grease again!!
Well guys I brought my car into the show today, and I'm going back tommorrow to finish setting up,there were already a few cars there,I saw the two barris cars, the batman car,and the munster coach,my car is in a great spot, right near the town fair tire display,so all u guys look for it,this is the last time my hotrod will ever be this clean again, once spring gets here,I'm back to driving the shit out of it.
Yeah you guys gotta come and heckle Craigie and Eli as they chop that shoebox! Our area of the show is definitely going to be packed. I haven't been to a "World of Wheels" show in a few years, but this year is going to be fun. We drove the cars in last night and i was surprised to see lots of awesome hot rods to balance out the lowriders, imports, etc. I'll be selling Mag-neto stuff, maybe I can convert some of those import dudes to the dark side.
Tony, Are you spending the weekend and when are they going to be working on the chop? I'll probably run in to you. Keith
Hey guys - here are some show pics. Worth going this year-Yeah REALLY Hey TONy looked for you last night once I got there- you musta gone for a beer.... Dana Feel free to strop by the Right Coast booth (by where the margaritas are sold) and say hi to me & ChopShop....
I made it out to the show today and over all I was pretty disappointed with the poor turn out of hot rods and customs. It's not to say there weren't any nice cars, but there were way too many big bike displays and other stuff taking up way too much room. Tony, sorry I missed you guys, your area kicked. We were wondering what was with all that measuring going on with the shoebox chop?? There was tape and lines all over that thing. Tell the guys they are spending way too much time thinking about it, and to just get the axe swinging!!
I just got back from the show and gotta say there was a ton and ton of crap there like there usaully is. To many random streetrods with tons of crap thrown at them and lots and lots of bikes with corny ass paint jobs. Although seeing the chop that was going on and some of the alter boys stuff and the stuff that Lowrey's shop brought down was worth it. Sorry Dave I did not get to meet up with yah, must of missed you.
I was there today but no sign of any of you guys or the Alter Boys.I was hoping to see you working on the chop.Where was everybody this morning?
Here are some more pictires of the show where the Alter Boys & Backyard Bombers were Chopping the roof- NICE JOB ...the pics are sorta in progression - not EXACTLY sure- it was Saturday night and I was drinking TOny- we had fun- glad you all made it....How'd eli make out with his car? Any 'high profile ' stuff?
Overall it was a good time this weekend. My 49 came out really good. We ended up taking 5 inches out of the front, and 8 1/2 out of the back. Here's a couple more shots of the progress.
yeah- it looked great -loved the 'interrior' - I got a chance to sit on the 'couch' for a while with Tony so I could watch without falling over - damn- my camera is starting to shit the bed- most of MY pics were blurry and I have auto focus... You guys should stop by the shop this weekend- Lenny will be there (Sat & Sun to make up for blowing it off all last week) and would love company of the cool kind..LOL
Now that should have won "Best Club Display." Thanks Backyard Bombers for letting me swipe a corner of your space to sell Mag-neto crap.
I agree Tony- maybe we will have to bring it to the attention of the show that is WAS a club display - of the utmost awesomeness... What was your fav ride at the show ? I think I liked that Brown and Black Lincoln that was there -but the rims sucked in a BIG way.
I dug that Lincoln too....although it was no chopped Caddy that I assume belonged to one of the Backyard Bombers..... I really think that was my favorite car there....
Well I am doing a full build on a custom 1951 lincoln cosmopolitan. 1 of 500 ever made. I am sure I will piss alot of people off by cutting up by oh well. Kinda the whole point of the car. Make something crazy. It is getting a 7 inch hardtop chop, quade headlights, air ride, and tons and tons of more mods. Should be done by this spring seeing I am doing all the work myself. (Keith got a really good full time job so he is pretty tied up with that so I am the only one that really is working at the shop know.)
