I read a post on here a while back about the worlds largest engine. the HAMBer that posted it had a link to a site showing off this gigantic inline 6cyl (?) tug boat motor being built by the Japanese. I tried to save from posting this by looking through the HAMB search option clear back to 6 months and I searched the net and came up with nothing. If you know of the site, could you please post the link again, I have a buddy that told me i was full of **** tonight when i told him about this huge motor. you'll remember it if you saw it before. Each cylinder has a rung latter on the inside to climb down in, the block is like 3 stories tall and it produces something like 1 million ftlbs of torque or something nutters. Id like to show him this and prove him wrong. Thanks
I saw a semi go by one time that had one piston and connecting rod on the whole 40 foot deck. Don't know what it was out of and didn't get a pic of it, but wish I had. It was impressive. Nutz
fordnutz, we have some gas plant compressor engines that use some BIG (not quite as big as shown above) engines. They run on natural gas. They use them to "pump" natural gas to California in the western gas line.
thats just what i need for my A tudor do you think i`ll have to make holes in the bonnet for the carbs?
