Okay so far I'm with you but, is that a new or used sharpie? I'd say a couple hours invested in that.

...please excuse the undersized temporary hardware. (also need to cut a piece of cork or rubber to go around the column)

  15. Kevin,
That came out pretty slick. If you would have called i have an old nitro rod you could have had. :)

I like it anyway. Lots of patience involved apart from the vision and skill.

I'd loose the wing nuts though, looks like they are just waiting to tear your leg open. Otherwise looks great.

There you have it. The world's simplest and easiest to follow tech article.
That should get more than a few brains working overtime to build that bracket that they have been putting off working on.

I don't think that looks the least bit like a "billet" item even though it started as a s**** of aluminum. It has that distinct carved out by hand with simple tools look that our granddads may have done back when.

Again, the hardware is temporary. To clarify, small bolts and wingnuts will be replaced with bigger bolts and acorn nuts.

The engine turning was done with what I had on hand last night. 200 grit stuck to the top of a bolt with double sided foam tape. (left all of my cratex sticks at a friend's shop)

And... has a billit look huh? That's your own baggage I guess – not seeing it.

Ding! This is why I'm lowering the column and yes, the seat too.

Yes definitely, that way if you do cut a finger off it's much easier to find it, and it kinda acts like a sack to carry it to the emergency room and you don't get those silly questions while waiting like what's that , a finger ?
