I have a round "Deluxe Chevrolet" heater in m '40 truck, it was in it when I bought it so it wasn't my decision but it works with the style. That "53 was the first "boxy" Chevrolet design so I think for that reason alone #3 would be the best choice. Or which ever one has the best core and fan motor in it!
I'd pipe the center outlets up behind the radio grill and let the air blow straight out through the grille bars...
So what that single gage is temp as i mentioned before.. but I guess I could go with a three holes set up and put a NOS gage in the middle for the drags.. or may be fuel temp the only problem is getting a hose to make the tight turn, there is almost no room between the unit and bottom of the dash.... I did not realize I need the tach up high to race.. Ask Tudor, its goes pretty good with it down low... I may buy one of those heater units (they go pretty cheap and would may good garage art if I do not like it.. Rocky I had thought about that but was worried about the restriction of the thin speaker grill holes
Is there some way you can tie them in to blow out through the defroster vents? I was also thinking of the speaker grille like Rocky said. Billy
Man, looks like our RwT rides are in about the same level of finish......I better go see if my foil insulation is missing? Seriously though, it looks like my interior. I like several of those designs. I would try to make one of them work.
