Basically a 100ish mile drive mainly on two lanes typically stopping at some cool shops or other interesting sights along the way and then having lunch at the end. Better description here www.hotrodhundred.com

We are looking at mid-July. I am gonna hafta to depend on ya'll to make sure I get the right season. I don't know your weather patterns.

  11. Between humidity and temps, mid July CAN be brutal in WI. It's a crap shoot. I've gone to the Iola swap meet/car show for years. I've been there when it was 70* and raining and I've been there when it was 100* and not a cloud in the sky.

So, when would be the prime month? We already have 6 events, so the calendar is getting pretty full.

  14. Late Aug. early Sept. is milder temp wise. Any time late May to early June is pretty nice around here too. Where are you planning the event around? Mid to southern WI. is a "little" warmer. You could probably spread those dates out a little further south.

  15. I would think the early fall would be nice. Just my 2 cents.

Early fall or late spring and if it's on the west side, we'd make a effort to catch it.

It will be west. Mississippi River area.
We try and miss our own events. We pass the Tshirts on from event to event, so we don't have to worry about overbuying. It also helps if the club guys can migrate from event to event to help alleviate some of the chaos on the day of.

If any of you Wisconsin guys are looking for something to do this weekend take a drive to Portage and check out the annual convention of the International Edsel Club. There should be at least 60 Edsels there from all over the US and Canada and of course it's open to the public with no admission charge. It runs from Wednesday through Saturday with Saturday being the big day with judging, etc. It's at the Best Western Hotel at 2701 S. County CX....

Been to western Wisconsin many times on the bike and it has been my favorite riding destination. It's hard to beat. Could zig zag back and fourth across the river from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Count me in. I'm new to Wisconsin so I am no help to routes and weather patterns, although I will say that when Wis folks start complaining about heat and humidity, I haven't even broken a sweat yet, but then again I'm from Kansas City. My flatheads love Wisconsin summers.

Heat tolerance is regional. When I see folks on the news passing out because it hits 90, it baffles me. Here, it averages 100+ (up to 108*) usually from July through Aug. Our humidity isn't too bad here. About 50-60%.
