I saw this on ebay and thought someone here MIGHT be interested... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1950...016QQitemZ260158960514QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
It may work on a flathead, but not well. It was made for 1.9 liters, what size is your flathead? Most are more than twice the size of what that blower was made for.
Don, I can't tell what size it is from the picture, and the seller didn't seem sure of its origins either. I brought it up because it seemed like a pretty good price for a supercharger; if I were in the States I'd buy it and flip it. Maybe it would work on a V8-60? sr
Sure it will work, if you make it work. You need to plumb it, figure out carburation, make some brackets to line up the pulley. As for the engine size, you could fit a larger pulley to increase the speed of the supercharger. Regardless, it makes more than ambient pressure as it is.
The add said its from a 1.9 Alfa. That means about 115 CI. This little blower would go on a sall 4 banger just right. Think Chevete in a trackT. Sure you could spin it faster, but at what price for reliability?
