there ol traditional car don't go fast enough to even need tires balanced....if they don't ride smooth enough... let a little air out.... people used to take tires and tubes with them and head cross country... blow a tire, pull over and put a new one on the rim, and throw the old one in the ditch....wheel weights???? we don't need no stink'n wheel weights

on my vicky... dropped the rims and tires off at the tire shop... came back latter to pick them up.... guy was complaining about how much weight the 16's took.... I asked if he had a putty knife...I scraped all the weights off...I don't need no stink'n wheel weights.....lol

Mould release agent. Some manufacturers use a form of liquid soap and it can solidify on the mould surface. It's a cosmetic issue not structural.

  4. I would try spray 9 and a bristle brush with water to see if they clean up.

the wheels weights are a f#%^ing joke !!

I always do static balance with hammer on weights on the inside of the wheel only , stick on weights look like crap to me and a full frame North American car does not need precision balanced wheels .

as far as the cuts and marks , they don’t look new , I would suspect dirty old worn out molds over the installer doing that . He did fubar the wheel weights and balancing 100%!

I’ve mounted and dismounted so many tires for my dad when he was an owner/operator.
I’d never see the cracks in sidewalls until they were aired up.
Luckily he always was able to swap them out, maybe not so lucky on a vehicle.
My point is the shop may not have noticed a thing and just did as they were asked to do.

  6. Well the good news is the tires are off the rims and heading back with an exchange coming my way..printed the labels they provided out, wrapping them up, and shipping them off tomorrow

  8. Great news! That company needs a shout out for handling a problem.

  9. The mold imperfections are on the surface and could be sanded out in the same way folks sand off a tires molded-in branding and other unwanted words, lines, and decorations.

  10. I get it…but my other 2 bought 4 years ago didn’t need that and cracks in new 250 dollar a piece tires seems kinda crappy

I'd contact the company and ask to return them. Even if you didn't discover the flaws until after mounting them, some of those (if not all) of the flaws were present when shipped. Maybe they didn't see them, maybe they did. If you used Paypal when you ordered them you would definitely have some recourse. Even your credit card company should be willing to help since flawed tires are hazardous.
One of the favorite scams years ago was to call tires "blems" (blemished) which is a cosmetic flaw. I bought some blems and they could not balance them. The cord was loose inside the tire and the balance point would change as I drove. Took them back and the tire store said they were "blems" and didn't want to stand behind them. I flipped my receipt over and showed them their wording........"Money back guarantee if not completely satisfied"......maybe you can find something like that somewhere on your transaction or their site. I would not use them myself. Maybe they will exchange them for a better tire.
