BTW. Bad Chad was working on one. Did he ever get through with it? I never saw the finished car. ( Try googling,This 1934 Ford Sedan is about to get sliced and diced... and it's not what you're thinking

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bad Chad 1934 Ford sedan delivery.
Bad Chad Customs has embarked on a significant build, transforming a 1934 Ford Sedan into a custom sedan delivery vehicle

    .
Here's a breakdown of the build And correction. This of course of a clone from a 2 door sedan. Way to much work but very interesting just the same. Conversion to Sedan Delivery: The key element of this project is the conversion of the sedan body into a sedan delivery. This involves eliminating the rear side windows and fabricating custom panels to enclose the space, according to Bad Chad on Facebook and Instagram posts. Reconfiguring the body lines to ensure a seamless flow with the rest of the car is a crucial and challenging aspect of the process.
    • "Mad Dog" Roof Chop: The build also features a "Mad Dog Chop" on the roof, meaning the front of the roof is lower than the back, creating a distinctive and aggressive stance.
    • Engine & Drivetrain: While the original 1934 Ford Flathead engine was initially considered, the car is being powered by a 500 Cadillac engine with six carburetors.
    • Custom Bodywork: Bad Chad is known for their unique customizations and this build is no exception. It involves significant metalwork and fabrication to achieve the desired sedan delivery look.
This build is drawing attention for its unconventional and bold approach to customization, demonstrating Bad Chad's philosophy of "doing something different" to stand out in the automotive world.

I like Chads stuff, (mostly,) but scheduling by YOU TUBE can be, & is, inconsistent at best if you ask me so I more than likley missed when it was finished, if that's th case,:mad::mad: 0nce again.

    Okay. My input.https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachments/343bb-jpg.6460791/
I like this one very much. (Chopped, sectioned, (shortened maybe ???......questionable)??lowered)
However, either lose that rear bumper or tuck within an inch or two of body, or fab nice rolled rear pan and install.
Lose those ugly white walls, mount Wire Wheels all around with, Bigs & littles paint it black cherry, strip off the rear drip rail and re- work that very homely rear door and handle, bear claw latches all doors, install power windows.https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachments/343bb-jpg.6460791/

    .............................................................................................................................................................................................................

And this one, with some exceptions. #1Hood is way too long. #2 Way too much space between radiator and fan Mount Wire Wheels all around with, Bigs & not to fond of those headers either and it is just screaming,
    Where's my blowen HEMI!!!!!!!!!

No, no, no, absolutely no. An original 1932-1934 sedan delivery very rare, rare, rare. If you want to chop a car, do it on a common 1932-34 three window, five window, tudor, fordor, pickup, etc. Me no likey chop sticks.

I agree with someone stating there feelings . Using the F word , who has not used in everyday , commutations is beyond me . If someone is upset , respect his feelings also . It’s America we all are not required to have the very same feelings. Have fun with Hot Rods bottom line , some do it one way some do it another . Just my 2 cents , that I can’t pay with 2 pennies anymore .

  16. Please put me in the no column, but if you have to chop one, this can be had for 6 grand with an ownership. It is on the wrong side of the border and made of steel, F652C556-2841-4473-A210-F2AFDBF1F326.jpeg FA36E6C7-853A-40BA-B020-F37ED4997EAC.jpeg but that teeters on politics, so we will just not go any further.

upload_2025-7-20_4-17-8.png I tried taking off the fenders on my 34 panel truck drawing and it just did not look appropriate as a custom hot rod. the type of wheels would help, but, the panel truck tall height just did not look proportioned without the fenders.
upload_2025-7-20_4-19-34.png But, with fenders, and a slight chop, not bad, plus the extra, additional room in the back for larger living/sleeping quarters.

    Hello,

On the other side, real sedan delivery models are a little too small to set up as a full on sleeping area along with the comforts of dining, refrigerators, closet space and sinks, etc.

So, in terms of chopping a standard size 34 Sedan Delivery, I referred back to an old design I drew.

upload_2025-7-20_4-22-6.png My first try at a chopped 34 Ford Sedan Delivery. Powerful motor, slight chop, no fenders and a slight rake would make the delivery a cool surf transportation mode. In the real world build, no…

Chopping any hot rod is a difficult choice and actual procedure. In art, one can modify the roof line and draw in a lower window and roofline to showcase the chop level. We all can see the proportions from the actual window of a real 34 Sedan or Sedan Delivery, so the chop can be utilized as low as one would think it would not cramp the style and drivability.

So, what does it feel like to be inside a chopped sedan delivery? It already had limited vision all around anyway, but it does look cool.
    upload_2025-7-20_4-23-59.png

A normal 1933 Willys Sedan Delivery next to a chopped top 39 Sedan Delivery… They both have their plus and minus aspects. For my wife and I, we would prefer the normal not chopped sedan delivery for our needs.
    upload_2025-7-20_4-24-37.png
I wanted to get a feel of driving this chopped sedan delivery as compared to our stock 40 Ford Sedan Delivery from back in those early days. We had miles of fun driving the 40 Ford all over So Cal.

This chopped early Willys Sedan Delivery was nicely finished, but would create a low down, squashed, feeling. The feeling is not too much different than laying back in one of those high dollar sports cars and looking out of the front window.
    upload_2025-7-20_4-25-25.png
Recently, I sat in a high dollar sports car. The road view is different and the feeling was difficult to adjust and feel safe. Although, it is the same road ahead, it just felt weird. I liked the "sit up driving stance" of the sedan delivery every time, if there is a comparison.
upload_2025-7-20_4-26-5.png The back cave in any sedan delivery is dark enough in normal driving. but a chopped one makes the dark cave, darker as if one might be "spelunking."
I just could not see over my right shoulder after a quick glance that direction as we all do when driving. Even trying to look at the outside rear view mirror is not always a full vision with the right distances.

    Jnaki

But, in a stock front window version of any hot rod, not a chopped to any level version for better vision. A chopped top of any car would feel like the Jolly Green Giant just stepped on the hot rod. In a chopped sedan delivery with the solid rear side panels, it might as well be driving an Army tank down the street.

    upload_2025-7-20_4-27-54.png

Despite being a “big” guy, Lee Bright fit comfortably inside the chopped sedan delivery, despite the chopped top.
    upload_2025-7-20_4-28-24.png
vs a normal size Model A Coupe:
    upload_2025-7-20_4-29-19.png
The vision vastly improves leaving it stock height.
    upload_2025-7-20_4-32-58.png
But, a chopped roof line does give the already sloping lines of the 34 sedan, a look of a powerful hot rod coming toward you or sitting at a curb. YRMV

  18. I am not a fan of chopped cars/trucks channel cars however are cool as hell!

To me the whole point of a Sedan Delivery or Panel Truck is head/leg room and the ability to carry things tools, luggage, parts etc... Once you start chopping, channeling you have eliminated its functionality.

    Angst over "fuck no"? Hmm...

Yeah, cuz when dear ol Dad had me hangin with the guys as a child they were all so nice. There'd be toys, hot cocao, puppies and coloring books. [sound effect of a needle dragged across a record] No, they were all badass tuff guys. They busted each others balls, played practical jokes, had names that were funny or appropriate or even symbolic (good or bad). Sat around on metal stools or milk crates and worked on shit. Got burnt, scratched, bumped, dropped on. The hot rod and race life is hardcore. You can take it or not. You can dish it out or pass sanctimonious judgments and the like. Holy smokes, to imagine some of you in the pits at Detroit Dragway during the final rounds is all but impossible. And with all the hateful nastiness the judges attendance here may perceive, there was more marrow deep loyalty and brotherhood there that you probably will never know. It didn't matter what we said, how we talked, what names we called each other, we remained intact and ready. Same on the streets. 1am, Detroit's west side, getting called out. "Excuse me sir, would you like engage in an acceleration contest with me please?" Is THAT how it should be? "Hey muthafucker, I made it. We gonna race or what?" "Drag yer shit up here bitch, let's do it." "How much? Who's holding?" and on it would go. And after a good race handshakes or fist bumps. If there was trouble we backed each other, if a car broke we helped it home or outta danger. And if the dreaded 'F' word was used once it was used 100 times.

So judge away, dip your sanctimonious tea bags, say as you will. Because I'm gonna talk the fuckin way I talk. I'm gonna show all due respect to not only the mods who help us along but also the brethren who get it. Some of those fuckers let me have it now n then too, and at the end of the day we don't hate, we either had it coming or defend it. And when an opinion is asked maybe it's best if you qualify whether or not the hardcore can play. If it's to be strictly pinky-up and safe spaces then maybe print your words in pastel blue or pink, make it sound like a 1st grade singalong. Request that all sarcasm and such are not allowed. And please note that any "foul language" will be treated as a heinous act and maybe, just maybe, the topic will include a video of shiney happy people singing Kumbya as a reward for such lovely behavior. That's about the nicest and most complete fuck off I can possibly deliver. Please note I called nobody an idiot, nor did I place any other derogatory names on anyone. I'm done wit dis one, thanks for playing...

Thanks for this shot, I just appreciate all models of the '33/'34 ' Fords so much and always have, ever since my earliest years of getting bitten bit by that wonderful car/automobile bug.
Some hamber in a post up above said they are just, inanimate objects on wheels and tires, OLD cars, nothing more nothing less.(or words to that effect).
Well maybe to him, not to me. I'll just leave it at that.

  21. Chop a pristine panel,No sir, I would sell it, I have owned a few chopped top cars over the years but I prefer my cars with a stock top, at 6'4" I'm too tall to look at the world through a mail slot.

Don't get me wrong I love the look of chopped, sectioned & channeled cars, I love all the hot rod trick but prefer my cars to be simple built cars, I've been happy with my old Deuce sedan for more than 40 years, several years ago I finally installed a interior along with heat and air, I'm comfortable no matter what the weather.

BTW, have you ever been driving or riding in a chopped car, hit a bump and your noggin bounces off the chopped top? HRP

So, we're getting all upset about someone using the F word, yet Bad Chad has popped up several times and no-one has batted an eyelid. I find that very unusual and unsettling. What's going on??? All I can really say is.....

Oh, and I like panel trucks unchopped....... but that's just me. Chopped would be a close second, though...:D

When I was a teen (1976) I fell in love with a CarToons Trosley drawing of the "Ghost Rod" a 34 Sedan Delivery that was chopped, highboy with the stock front inner fenders.

Simple question! To cut or not to cut. With me I have found out that my age matters, at 77 would not cut, if I was 30 or younger I would cut, it's all in your attitude & age!
