That when working with belly buttons, no matter what you do, it's already been done to death? We're waiting on the "I've been to two county fairs and a goat fucking and ain't ever seen that".....not the "here we go again".

We don't really care about your after post. Your statement implys (see below for the quote) that from the very beginning, in any condition, a Pontiac of equal condition is 2nd best to a Chevy. So post away. Let's see what your Chevy looks like right now.

Learn something from what? Your post? Doubt it. To this day I haven't learned anything from anyone I didn't respect and I don't respect people that make ignorant statements like "Ponti-Acks are for people who really want a Chevy but have to settle for 2nd best. Cut the cheese anyway you want, Chevy is still around, where's Ponti-Ack?".

Yes, you are right! "It's been done to death!" My father was into cars as far back as the late 40s. I have uncles and cousin who were into cars and motorcycles in the 50s. My brothers were into cars starting in the early 60s. I can remember a little of the late 60s and all of the 70's so I know I am not doing anything "new".
Any way you cut it, my goal is to build my 51 with some touches that I remember my brothers doing to their cars back in the 60s but at the same time, I will use some new up-to-date parts. It is not my goal to blaze a new path (the path is beaten anyways and "I've been there, done that")

So what about Fords? Do they also take a back seat? I guess Ford is not included with the list of American "staples". How about any other makes of cars? Is your daily driver a Chevy Cobalt? Obviously SMART CARS are out for you.

Hahahaha and apple pie isn't American either! Neither was
Chevrolet. I can't believe I'm in Austin reading this and not trying to figure out the best place for BBQ.

You dragged it home for $800 and "offer it up to HAMBers" at a $700 Mark-up???

If there's a contest for the biggest D-bag on the HAMB,you get my vote.

Yeah, we're all a bit surprised...but 'serious' reading it is not.
It has now moved into the ransom business, 'so I paid $800 but I'll sell it for $1500 just so I can buy a belly button car or else I'll turn this into one...'
Perhaps the esteemed jcmarz will step up and donate the extra $700 just to make sure that his beloved shiverlays are taken care and then, hopefully, leave the rest of us alone without his tirades.

As for all of us 'dunces' perhaps someone should learn how to use the edit button, unless that is, he is simply going for a post count to make himself appear to be something more than he is...

OK students, go to Autoweb.com and in the search box type in "Apple pie". I hope it doesn't hurt your brain.

I think this guy gets my vote for Douche Bag of the Universe, with runner up going to the dork offering up to the rest of us (at double the money) the "Ponti-ack" that's the subject of this thread getting First Runner Up. What a couple of tools...

No pictures of his car, nor any of these wonderful cars built by his family. Anyone else smell bullshit?

You're starting to make me embarassed to own a '51 Chevy. Nah, mine's real, it runs and it's constantly improving.

It needs to be noted that Louis Chevrolet was from Switzerland.
, and the chevy bowtie originated from the wallpaper in a French bordello.
I take no sides in this, any kinda pie is fine with me and Pontiacs are OK too.

at first i thought arrowood was just new and didnt know all that much. then i thought he may have made the right decision in buying that poncho and was ready to welcome him into the custom world...

sadly, i see hes just a simple minded bandwagon jumper looking for people to give him high fives at car shows. he isnt into these cars and doesnt even know much about them.

so go hawk the poncho for twice what you paid and get that chebby. i hope i never have to see you at a show, your kind is infectious human waste. your a leach on the hot rodding/custom car scene. id even wager your daily driver is a subaru
