Hello all. I am Doug Mentzer, living in Royersford, Pa, where I have been since 1968. I did indeed have the 1955 chevy wgn,'the Hostage' originally built by Joe and Loris Cox and at the time was a stablemate to the 55 sdn, 'the Monster Mash'. Later I did drive the 55 sdn, 'Watchamacallit' owned by Rich Lairson and Paul Kowall of Phoenixville, Pa. Home track of course was Maple Grove in Reading, Pa. Now, If I can figure how to open some of the pic's posted on here I may be able to help identify some cars. Would love too see pic's of the Hostage as I had most of my stolen. Sure glad too see some names of friends from way back when.......
