ordered an oval tank from Lang's yesterday......knew the deal, that there'd be a lead time. That's OK for what i'm using it for, but they called me today(nice people, by the way) and said my tank is a year out......shrug"........maybe I don't got a year left.....yikes!!!!!. Anyway, I'm trying to source a roughly 1920-25 looking oval tank, new manufacture ,to eliminate headaches, and I'm drawing a blank. I don't generally search a lot of sources and any input would be appreciated.

Mac's shows one but it looks just like the one that Langs has. Maybe the manufacturer got behind.

Smith and Jones Antique Auto Parts in SC lists a few tanks. I have never done business with them.

You could probably make one yourself within a year.

I tried to buy one last summer. Called everywhere. Langs isnt too far from me so I called them first. They told me the same thing. The same people make them and one of the partners died. The remaining partner I guess is planning to continue but things were interrupted. Thats the story ive gotten from a few sources. All those tanks are a year out if they say so or not. I bought a Tanks Inc. tank instead.
