I was looking throught the local craigslist and found this http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/1388425241.html this thing is bad**** maybe barris built it...Any other info on it?
^ ahahahahahahahaha (crap and bury it). i disagree but thats funny. it certainly has a "kink" factor doesnt it,....too bad its not a hemi with 2 blowers. is that a VW engine? i couldnt get the pics big enough to get a better look.
Ad says VW engine & VW chassis ... but 3 speed transmission. WTF??? Maybe it's truth in advertisng, 2nd gear's blown....!!
Everything though the 60's was cool and spot on. The 70's were kooky, woodgrainy, and acid influenced, and then everyone yuppied out and made ugly paisley street rods in the 80's. At least that's my opinion. There's something about 70's customs that makes me feel dirty that I secretly like them.
$10K doesn't seem out of line for it either, the guy isn't on a wild goose chase hoping for big money. I like it, I'd love to see someone buy it and drive it daily. Would be interesting to know who built it and when.
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Hot-Rod-Mag---Oct-1973--$200-Van-Interior_target="_blank">Hot Rod Mag - Oct 1973 $200 Van Interior ... ... Clark & Palmer's B/Altered Fiat; Roger Mears' Pikes Peak buggy; Mark McManus<WBR>' Tuneville Trolley show car; Ernie Parra's wild Volkswagen ... google search turned up an old expired ebay ad for HR magazine featuring that car. just the owner, maybe or maybe not the builder?
It's perfect if you own an amusement park. Would make a cool tram for a racetrack parking lot too... Is it cool? yes. Is it "Kool"? I wouldn't know...
