6 months and 1 week to the DAY exactly...and i just drove this old jalopy up the driveway December 12th i drug in the 32 frame and started pulling out the front and rear crossmembers BenD met me at 4:00pm with the body and a T rear crossmember on that same day 6 months and one week later....I JUST DROVE IT UP THE DRIVEWAY!!!! i dont have top radiator hoses yet....so it was a quick spirt and then coast back down...but WOW!! i have never driven an old car before...and have only ridden in 1 stock model A and a stock 54 chevy....so this is my first trip in a hot rod and a roadster...and ITS MINE!!! all these longs nights just became ever so worth while and i have learned a ton theres still an awful lot to do to get the car on the road and somewhat legal....but i think this is the happiest i have ever been in my 23 year old life! thanks very much to every one on here who has helped me or given inspiration Zach
i doubt i'll drive it to syracuse....we'll see though...im just gona be happy to trailer it to the jalopy showdown saturday... no windsheild or ***le at the moment...so its just a race car for now zach

thanks everyone....im trying to keep working but i'm all excited...i keep coming up here to sit down for a few minites the C is the engine cl*** for my "hot" motor from around 46-48... that motor is a 274 full race merc....in a while that will be in it...i gotta check the motor over before i fire that one...plus work the bugs out of the car ok...time to try to get back to work zach

There are a couple old time defrosters, piece of gl*** suction cups and nichrome wire, in the pile. You can have one if you need. Think I remember having to have defrosters for inspection. Are you bringing it to the Jerk Sat. night?
That is friggen cool. Being a FNG I may be wrong but, I think that that's about one of the best posts I've seen in a while. It's kind of a window on what I first saw on this board when I found it a couple of months ago. Guy buys old car. Gets pieces and parts. Gets ideas and help. Works *** off. Has really cool car.
