Event Coverage WOW Omaha, Gene Winfield and the SOT.

The So. Omaha Turds are pretty excited to get to work with Gene Winfield at the World of Wheels show this weekend. We are helping chop the top on a 51 Ford. Big T, Rob Lee and me get to go to school. I'll charge up the camera and we'll see what happens.

 

Looks like I'll definitely have to be stopping by, sounds like one hell of an experience!

 

Started off the day getting to try the fit in George Roselands 41 Studebaker LSR. George is 80 and he ran 202+ last year at Bonneville. The car fit like it was built for me. I need to start playing the lottery.

Gene Winfield is a balls to the walls, fullspeed, get it done kind of guy. Hard to believe how much got done in 7 hours yesterday. Another longer one today, Hope I can keep up with him.......

 

SUCK it all in Rob, as it has to be something to work along side one of the masters. You will remember this for the rest of your life dude.

I think you all deserve a round of applause for putting on a great working display, but I'm sure you're all still on a high from working with a Zen master. Nothing like the smell of ground metal and MIG welding inside the CenturyLink Center on a Sunday afternoon. Just wish I could have had a few minutes to chat with Gene Winfield, but watching him fit the door B-pillar and work over the passenger door was plenty fine in itself.

 

Best show EVER for me,getting to work with Gene and my best friends all weekend.Don't think it gets better than that! Congrats on Gene's pick,well deserved! Rob

Was good talking with you briefly Rob, car was looking great when I saw it but being an American I couldn't miss a monster truck crushing cars in the parking lot and was torn away from the metal magic haha
