While searching for a part for my explorer I came upon a 1956 Ford Club Coupe that is 100% complete!! It has had the top right hand roof hit by a falling tree. The wrecking yard will sell it complete for $1,200 or they will start parting it out piece by piece. All parts are there and in very nice shape. The motor seems to be untouched and I believe it is the original 292 with dual exhast manifolds, It is a 4 barrel. The left bank valve cover is off and the rocker arm ***embly is in the trunk with all the parts + extras including a good front crossmember. Also the original full size hubcaps that are in perfect shape with no curb rash. The bumpers are also very nice the rear has a small bend in it at the top edge, The front is very nice. The dash is perfect with radio delete plate. All the interior trim pieces are very nice and complete. Overall it seems to be pretty solid with just the typical lower fender rust. It could be restored with a roof replacement or it would be a super parts car for someone. You can check out pictures of it on my album. Feel free to ask me some questions about it and I will give you a phone number of the yard where it is located. It is very close by and I will take more pictures of it if you want more. Ken

You could chop off the top and turn it into a roadster like the '54 Ford Chip Foose did on Overhaulin' at the SEMA show.

There is so much stuff out there this year! Almost like houses nowadays - a buyer's market.

I drove to my other place in northern Michigan on Friday (about 250 miles), saw a bunch of old iron For Sale. It looked like some had been dragged out of the swamps and woods where they'd been sitting for years. One that caught my eye was a '55 Chevy 2dr hardtop - looked solid & complete. Bet it's gone before Sunday!

Good thing about it is, at least some of the owners are giving restorers a chance to buy 'em before they're hauled to the s****yard. Desparate times for a lot of folks these days.

I was looking for the 56 dash ! I have found one already .
Could use a very cheap 56 radio or delete plate to cover the hole up . Radio doesn't have to work .

I was looking for a 56 Dash but got one already. Same boat as Jim tho, need a radio or radio delete plate. I also still need a front bumper.

  8. i have a radio out of my parts car that looks to be in great condition. it's really big and heavy though so shipping would be a lot. PM me if you're interested.
