So I am working on sorting all of the electrical out on a friends 61 chebby and I realize that something is quite wrong. When I turn on the right turn signal it comes on VERY dimly and blinks...but so does the left side. When signaling left it works just fine, just when I use the right signal its like I am turning flashers on. I'm not the hottest at wiring, I'm just learning so any advice/help is appreciated. Thanks.

  2. Sounds like the right side is not grounded good Harry. It's feeding back thru the left.

I'll have to check that, but will that make completely wrong things come on when I hit the switch? I thought maybe the switch was bunk, but am not sure how to test a switch.

with the right flasher on, wiggle the bulb to the right flasher. See if it changes. You may have the bulb in wrong or the little ground tab may be broken off in your socket. Sounds like a ground prob though.
