40Studedude may have something to add to this? He had a new tire blow out at the Hamb drags but we weren't for sure if it was cut or if it was faulty.

Happened to be reading BigCheese's "Coker" post on another forum and found this...musta missed it first time around so thot I'd answer it: As I was leaving Starbird's museum in Afton, OK, I drove thru the ditch (gr***, mowed and smooth) to get out on the driveway, apparently it was deeper than I figured and when the front end started up, the rear was not quite down and the body (and suspension) twisted...the inside of the rear tire contacted the nut/washer on the leaf spring u-bolt and cut the inside of the tire...had nothing to do with the maker of the tire at all. I run whitewalls from WhitwallsPlus.com, which I believe are made by Diamondback...best whitewalls I've ever had and I've gone thru two sets: Coker's and Antique Auto Accessories. I'd highly rec- commend Diamondbacks...

DB's, i ran them on my 59 Buick and had several friends with Coker and BFG, they all switched to DB's due to the bubbling and yellowing of the BF and Coker tires, and we wont even start on the Cokers never balancing worth a ****.

I have coker, they are cool, I've been seeing some cracks develope, but I've had'em for 3 years now..They've done me good..But I will consider a cheaper price alternative..Cause Cokers will set you back..

I've had excellent results with the Daytons. I'll run them on my '49 as soon as it's on the road. My first set bubbled at the rim and they replaced them, no questions asked. I used the Whitewall Candy Store in Orange CA. Nice guy there.

coker bias plies..200 miles on 'em and they started cracking.

Ditched them for BFGs. so far so good after about 600 miles...Spray 9 keeps 'em white, Mequires keeps 'em protected.
