I lurk to much... so, for a change of pace I decided to check in here after the Tequila kicked in... I think I've got spring fever already, 'cause I'm settin' up shop in the garage for this winter's project(s) already. I usually put that off 'till, like... I don' know... , February... But I'm 'stoked about moving on with the truck. It's a '59 F-100 shortbed. Honest to goodness Mississippi farm truck. Red with a white top is how it came, & may remain. I like the early 60's vibe this thing has. It was a good runner for a couple years. I've always liked this model series and always thought of customizing one... I'm thinkin' a Custom & Performance Shop's work horse; In a subtly radical way, tricked out to advertise and set up to tow, haul and push at the track. Anyway, life interupded and put me back 4 years or so. When I last worked on it, I scored a second top, got almost halfway done with a 3" chop. and that's as far as it went. (And that's where I'll pick up...) Before that, I'd swapped in an '80 Z-28 subframe, flipped the rear axle position to on top of the springs and c'd the frame for clearence, Clarence. I sit's real good. I'll post some pics if anybuddys interested. I'm Jack... Later
