hey, my wife did something different this year.
bought a small evergreen(or something like that,i'm not a treeologist), stuck lights on it and when the ground thaws out, we'll plant it out in the field..

My yuppie neighbors have been hinting at me for 3 years to decorate my house...apparently is a rule with them or something that you have to have lights on your house....I just didn't want to bother with it. BUT, this year I did a full Griswold Christmas Vacation treatment on my house. 5200 lights plus the inflatable snow globes and moving deer and animals and all that ****.

I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to taking them down this week.....what I'm not looking forward too is my next electricity bill...but it was all worth it to stick it to my neighbors. I'm willing to bet that next year they don't "hint" that I should put up Christmas lights.

No big tree this year. The wife just got a small one and put it on the table. first time for no outdoor decorations also. The neighbors came over to see if I was in the Hospital again. NO!!!
We went to our daughters this year and everyone else went there to celebrate. this is the first Christmas that everyone didn't come to Grandma and Grandps's for the holidays. The grandkids are growing up and starting to loose interes in "family" things. It was weird to see our two oldest grandkids show up driving their own cars instead of riding with Mom and Dad. Oh well, time marches on.
