Came home from work tonight and my wife told me to go get a box out of the Van. I ***umed she picked something up for the kids. I opened the van up and here is what I saw.

Its no huge professional box but its something I been looking at for a while and shepulled a good one on me. The strange part is I was at Home depot today and noticed they had marked them down $60 bucks and were sold out. I was on the phone with her and just mention they were on sale. She was already in route to get one not knowing they had put them on sale. When I told her they were out she found another store. All that was left was the display so she started makeing deals with them. This box came with a free tool set which was missing from the display. She made them add one to it which was a $60 dolloar retail price socket set. These chest were being cleared out for $99. She talked them down to $85 with the upgraded toolset thrown in. That makes the toolbox $25. Its no huge box like some of my buddies have but its a step up from this craftsman I'vebeen working from for 20 years.

I had no idea about this. I thought I was getting money for a new larger used mig welder. Xmas is'nt here yet. Common Mig Welder.

Pic of my current setup. I have to get organized now.

Looks good, when does it get scallops to match the wagon?

I guess I need to give your impact back so you can fill one of the drawers.

That's cool Phil. That's what I got for Xmas last year. Same box from Home Depot, with the tool kit.

I still need to get organized.

JESUS, if your wife can swing deals like that, you should drag her to the swaps with you! hehe
No for real, thats a good looking box. I wish I'd known they were on sale, I would have snagged a couple.

I'm seriously jealous. That's the only thing I've wanted all year, but it's been tight for us, saving for a wedding.

Damn, I nearly got a chubby just looking at that picture. [IMG]

Jeffro, she does'nt do the swaps but when we hit the flea markets I make her work all the deals. When I see something I want I just get it. She woks em alot longer.

I hate buying new cars and back in 92 she had yo go work the deal for her Acura she bought. I knew she had them low when I signed on the final paperwork and they gave us $2,000 more for our trade in than what they told us they would. I figure they had to do some number shuffling to make it work.

Kartbreaker, I have been working on it. I've decided to wait a little now until I buy my new welder before hacking on the frame.

I've got my rear spring brackets all made and ready to weld. Since my welder is small I got all kinds of braceing going on and wondered still if it would be O.K.

I showed Flt-Blk and Outlaw the brackets this weekend and they told me they were totally over engineered.

I'm no engineer so I say over rigged.Better safe than sorry.

  21. Nice box.

I only had two things on my list a tool chest (like yours) and a drill press. I just got a losey drill press. [IMG] My wife will let me open mine early if I can guess what it is. I've been married 6 years and have got it early every year. Next year she said she gonna hide it so I'll have to wait.

Now where the hell is the racket and my 1/2 in socket, it's in all the **** some where. [IMG] LOL!

Your wife's got a nice box! I mean, she got you a nice box! [IMG] I got my present early, too. (my birthday is tomorrow, also). I've been wanting a new mountain bike, and drooling over the specialized P2, knowing I'd have to get a lesser bike. Well, she called me this morning and said to go to the bike shop, cause the new bike we got our 8 year old is in. When I got there the wheeled out her bike AND a P2! Too bad I've got the flu right now and can barely walk straight, let alone ride, but soon!

  26. Cool box!

James, where the HELL are you going to ride a P2 in Florida? [IMG] Nice gift BTW. Sp far I scored a renew to TRJ myself!

Probably won't believe it but I asked for a pair of rear fenders for my '34 pickup. SIGH, I don't think its going to happen. OH! Tman I didn't see you standing there.
