Not sure what you are referring to.

  2. I think he means the differential cover in the bed.

  3. Oh OK, That was designed and fabricated by Dave Russell (the wheel man)
    And Master Fabricator. 20240210_100228.jpg

  4. @john mullen , I think he's referring to the fixture at Winters that your QC is being held by during assembly.

This. Ya, fixture was the wrong word to use.

  6. I finished up a rough polish on the 302 crank this weekend. The goal was to remove all the sharp edges and clean it up a bit to help shed oil.

Need some break in on the fresh engine and the last shake down before Arkansas. We are very excited to be back racing again, it's been a while. 20240210_114350.jpg

Did you ever get your test completed?

  17. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. As you may know my wife has Altimers and needs my full attention. We have canceled our trip to Bonneville for 2024.
Not sure what the future holds
The crew has my permission to race withought me but they said if I can't go they don't wish to go without me.
We are still developing a 302 GMC for future racing and will post something on that as it develops. Thank you all for your support and well wishes for my wife.

  19. John I am truly sorry to hear about Flo. That is a tough pill to swallow. My younger brother has been diagnosed with the same so I can see what you are going through. I am hoping for the best for both of you.

Lost an Uncle and FIL to that terrible disease. Taking care of your wife is an extremely difficult and demanding job. BUT please make sure you take care of your self as well. My MIL ignored her obvious cancer signs to continue to care for her husband. Until she couldn't. My thoughts are with you.

Just a little thought on death wobble. I had 19psi in my front firestone bias plys and pumped them up to 26psi with the backs and while it rode smoother, I encountered DW riding over some rough pavement at low speed...so add that to potential causes...the ole truck looks really sharp.

  25. Just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone for the encouraging words.
Life has changed direction and limits my time with the Truck. But we are still developing new things for the future.
Salt has taken its toll on the trailer and we are now doing some repairs on that as well as doing a complete rebuild on the front suspension as well. Hopefully we will have everything ready for Arkansas standing mile in the fall.
Again thanks for your well wishes and prayers for Flora and myself. 20240817_105556.jpg 20240815_085750.jpg 20240817_105553.jpg

  26. I will post more photos as we repair the rust on the rear door to the hauler.

  27. Thank you Ben prayers for your situation as well.

  28. Coming along slowly on Dave Russell's GMC build. We finally got the block back from having 4 bolt steel mains done. Also Jimmy's Engine Service has finished the piston to bore clearance and is now working on the skinner head fitting the titanium valves, will start flow work in a week or so. 20240823_215004.jpg 20240823_214948.jpg 20240823_214915.jpg

  29. I will start the fabrication on the dry sump oil pan this week and will post photos on that as well. Trying to build some momentum again. The 640 crew has been awesome in getting things done. I can't begin to thank them enough. Again I appreciate your patience and supporting kind words. Hoping to have more time to keep everyone up to date in the near future.
