    The first one must be just to qualify. Then the average of the two runs needs to be so the driver/vehicle will be the new record holder after certification.

    Don’t know on the head. The one we used with Joe from 1996 thru 2004 was pretty wasted so he used one the new ones he cast up for the one he had in the Ferguson Streamliner. When we partnered up with him he told me the engine we’re using was the same one he used in the Studebaker in the 70-80’s. I don’t know which head George Campbell bought from Joe or when. George (rip) has been gone for quite along time now. I’m pretty sure each of the originals from Tom Skinner had a number stamped on them. Joes new ones do, at least mine does. So does my Arias/Howard.

    JD's right. First you gotta break the record, then back it up with an average that breaks the record.
