I had a new pump break on me today. Electric pump that was in my truck when I purchased it crapped out and I put a brand new one on. Got a mile down the road and it quit. I ordered a chrome pump off of that auction site for a 390 as I was under the assumption they were the same for the y block? under inspection, the arm on the new pump looks different than the other FE/y block pumps I have laying on the shelf. The tip where the cam hits it is bent down a little bit more of an angle the factory pump. Is it possible I got the wrong pump? I have a '56 292. Or is there an early and late version?
