    So, I see you may be in OKC? Not sure if I can help, but depending on which parts are where I might be closer to measure an engine. I have a 312 sitting in my shop out of a car. Just guessing from the pic of your 41, the car may be the piece 900 miles away?

    Actually the car is in OKC and the engine is in ND. I’m still just in the planning stages of this one but I think I have found the Hurst style motor mount and the trans adapter needed.
    Should I leave it 3 on the tree or put in my 39 toploader?

    Start looking for a T-85 with the R-11 overdrive. If it’s a 312, or a strong 292, the T-86 with the R-10 is marginal. Three on the tree and overdrive. That’s as good as it gets. Use all the original design wiring with the kick down. The Borg Warner engineers got that right.
