Ok, got a lead on some '312' Y block parts while at the swapmeet this weekend. Besides bringing my caliper to measure the bore of the piston-just make sure they are true 312 pistons vs. 292 pistons. Cracks and scoring obviously, what else? He has a bunch of other stuff to boot looks like left over from a build, some of it is original Ford stuff-probably from the 70-80's. He has some auto ****** rebuild parts as well, so I will see what is what when I get there.

    Stuck rings.
    Personal experience.....
Stuck rings can be impossible to remove and the piston still be usable.
Post ‘56 Holley pattern 4bbl intake. Even post ‘56 2bbls are desirable.
