i'm trying to build this car on paper before i start buying parts i can't use.

what i do have is a 27 T coupe and a Y block with a car 3 speed bellhousing. i had thought of getting the T5 adapter mummert sells. i also know of a couple of toploaders i can have but don't have access to them just yet. one is from behind a 390 out of a 67? mustang. the other is one of the (weaker) 4th gear overdrive units from of all things, a granada, i believe.

anybody with a toploader mated to a car 3 speed bellhousing able to get me a measurement from the block back to the shifter location so i can see if i will be able to make this all work in the small confines of a 27 T coupe?

anyone with mummert's mustang T5 adapter want to get me the same measurement?

i have a weiand 3x2 intake and i hate the look of trans/cables/kickdowns that come with automatic transmissions. i know i don't necessarily need the passing gear kickdown linkage for the C4 and i can possibly rig a cable to the go fast pedal for an AOD, just trying to work this all out before i go spending cashola. thanks everyone.
