Hack, I dont understand why that trans would go bad so quickly, that truck had less than 50k miles on it and I could tell it was a very well cared for truck, clean, but it was rolled, maybe something in it was shook up from the roll over, and again shit happens!
Im gonna put in my 2 cents, keep the car as is, put in a new trans, and enjoy the rest of the summer, lots of good times ahead, just imagine, how much fun you have had in 1 month! multiply that times 4 and there is always MO-KAN!
Then after that go out and buy that citation, they are close to free, anywhere and as Elvis said, HACK DID IT HIS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!

I myself think your on to something with gas prices like they are and your right it would be real easy to get super low.
I hate front wheel drive cars, but hey ,I have to admit they run for years and dont require much other than an occasional axle replacement ect.
I think not following the crowd deserves my respect, thats not always the easy route.
With all that room under the hood, the combo would be a lot easier to work on than in the citation. When I worked on these cars daily, I soon found out they are not harder to work on, they are just different from what I cut my teeth on, after I was around front wheel stuff, I actually liked some things about them much better than rear wheel drive.
But to be truthful with you,I cant get used to the front wheel burn outs, I guess I was just born too damn long ago.
But heres one I might go for, get two citation 2.8s, mount one in the front, one in the rear, and you could turn that baby around on a dime!

This car has to be seen to be appreciated. So much 'Hackgineering' went inti this. Makes me proud of Greg to know it's still alive and well.

  15. Nothing wrong with that car that a nice set of White Wall Tires woudn't fix.

    I thought the S-10 had a 700R4. I know a friend that just had a running 84 S-10 handed to him and his Chiltons says it's the 700 R4. I didn't actually look.
