I'm going to be in Yakima this week visiting family for Thanksgiving. Somehow I got suckered into riding up with my dad, step mom and little sister. So when I'm up there I'll have nothing to do and no car to do it in. Is anyone around there doing anything fun? Can I tag along? We can go drive go karts or go to the Country Store (if it's still standing). Whatever.......just SAVE ME!!!
Hey Kirk, I live down in the Tri-Cities and not really doing anything, so if ya want give a call. Rick (509)734-9494
Be careful Kirk, I got that offer from him once and when I got there he was wearing a geek mask and a strap on. I will be here as well, maybe we should all meet.
Hey, if you want to do something car related, we could chop up all of that 2x3 tubing for my frame. Where did you buy your cutting wheel Rick? What size? I already have my grinder.
Hey, it's better to pitch than to catch; how you liking it behind the plate? Hijack like hell, it's more like arranging his social calendar.
Take a skate board, razor scooter, skates, anything for the excuse "I need to go burn off a few pounds before/after dinner" That'll save your sanity.
Prosser would be cool, but if we hook up on Saturday, we could go to the secret "inner-sanctum" yard and also see if "dude" still has those roadster bodies.
Ya, that's another possibility. Show him "back-woods,one-eyed, buck-tooth, banjo-playing, hillbilly" (tm) rat rods.
Is there a good boneyard down in Prosser? I may have to check it out on my way to yakima for vintiques next summer.
hey kirk, bill ross lives there, you should give him a call, he has lots of cool stuff to see!, maybe look at his '36 he is building.....chip his number is....(509)-966-4083 maybe ask him to show you that "private" wrecking yard outside of town, but you can only drool, the old lady there won't sell ANYTHING! if he doesn't know wich one i am talking about, have him give me a call on my cell, i will explain it to him...chip
Well, I ended up not being able to escape. It's funny you mention Bill Ross. I thought about looking him up too. He lives on the same street my grandparents used to live on in Yakima. Plus he's a great guy. I know about that yard south of town. It's always depressing when I go by it. It looks like hundreds of A's just wasting away. I stopped there like 6 years ago to ask about it and thought I was going to get shot.
