    My eyes are peeled!!!!

I met Dave years ago via a friend in Allentown, PA,....what a nice fellow, etc. I remember the car well as there was a rainstorm that moved in and he had pulled off of Rt. 78 around Allentown at the time.

If I see anything remotely close to his car running around I'll call on the spot!!

I have to say though, there seems to be no exact, specific info on when it happened and more importantly WHERE it happened? Where did it grow feet and run off???
THAT would really help the cause!

All the best to Dave, I hope this is taken care of as soon as possible and the outcome is a good one!

I've been going to join the HAMB for some time and never got around to it - hell of a thing that this is why I finally got in gear. I would like to thank everyone for everything they are doing to help spread the word and locate my roadster. Please let me know what other info may help. I've slept about 3 hours since sat morning - my ass is dragging I have to leave for work in 3 hours. Don't know if I want to scream, or kick ass. Its late and I will try to get on tomorrow and post more.

    Thank you
    Yankee Dave

  19. Dave, I really hope this has a happy ending. I remember reading about you and your car in the 2nd issue of Hot Rod Deluxe. It's such a unique looking car and the fact you made it all work with the different car bodies was amazing. I'm pulling for you and everyone who is trying to help out. Keith

The question I have is why as a country we find this sort of behavior acceptable. If you don't think we do, you need to open your eyes.

We as a country say it is okay to steal people's cars.

Why do we? Why don't we change the laws?

Usually, whoever does this has been caught and convicted many times. We just keep letting them out of jail. Or, there is not a deterrent that is strong enough. How about on the first offense, you get 30 years hard labor, in a labor camp, so we the public get something back from the thief. A jail should be in the desert with barbed wire around it, give the convicts old rags to make into tents etc.... To get to the side of wire with the food, you have to accomplish a certain amount of work each day. Also, when you get out , you have to pay back the prison camp for their expenses, if it takes the rest of your life.

If you don't want to have to experience the horrible life described above, then don't steal a man's ride. Pretty straight forward and fair.

The crime in this country could be solved very quickly, if the people either really wanted it stopped, or stopped being so lazy and got the laws changed.

Why don't we? Why is this behavior and many others accepted by us?
Why in a civilized society, if this is one, should crime be anything that anyone has to worry about?

Carjack someone? 50 years first offense, no parole. You don't just carjack someone by mistake, or not know the car you are driving isn't yours. If there is a crime where there is some grey area, keep the system as it is. But in clearly open in shut cold busted cases and crimes, let's put an end to the criminals.

The roadster was stolen from Schuylkill Haven (just off rt61) sometime between sunday night(6/8) and most likely wednesday(6/11) from what I have been able to piece together. Some of the guys are going to canvas the area abit more today so hopefully we will have more info soon. I am at work now, but will try to post any new info as it becomes available. Once again thank you all for your help and words of encouragement. You know one of the guys put it best -its like losing a kid. Will post later. thanks
