Thanks for the thread Brian! Jack the car is looking bitchin' can't wait to see it rolling down the road. Since you asked on the phone, I like the skirts but the upward curve in the bottom edge of the skirt doesn't work for me, if you could reshape that bottom opening I would steal them for when I finally build a box someday. It's looking damn good, Hub is the man and nailed the chop. This build is what Kustoms in Wichita is all about, good friends, a cool car and tons of good times!

  15. Hey KROBE, I heard he was puttin' a Chrysler Spitfire flathead 6 in it. Just so he can keep it traditional.
    Later,
    Dick

Thank you very much, this will be a real fun build. Kool from Finland, got a pair of shoes, my 50 running a 265 chevy with stock drivetrain and then the kustom 51. Have always loved shoebox fords. My dad had a honduras maroon 50 in 56 and i remember standing up in the front seat with him driving back then,I was about 6 years old, maybe thats what started this deal with me and shoeboxes. Happy new year to all you guys and thanks for the post.
    Jack

  23. Jack, first off. Happy holidays to all of your bunch. Second, how about you turn your 302 into a 342 stroker? CHP sells Scat kits that will make a huge difference in low end power. Mr. Harness was parked next to me at Salina. I'm was impressed in watching him. A good guy for sure.

  24. By request, here are a few shots of the motor mounts.

I have a 55' 265 SBC too in my 51'.I know that brand freaks doesnt like mixing different brand motors for different brand bodies, but i think thats what hot rodding is all about.I have a 8ba flathead with a stock bore in my stash, but my plan is to save it for other projects.
Well, there lives a little puritan in me too,i wouldnt never put an evo motor for my shovelhead:D
    And Happy new year!

Looks like this joint I was at earlier today, Kat had a real kool 29 Roadster that I shot some video of, after I awaken from my stupor in the morning I'll try to put all of the pieces together.
