Just wanted to say hello, been lurking in the shadows for more than a few years and always find something interesting to read and laugh about on this forum. Recently made the move from Mass. to Wilmington NC so I could do the car thing year round and so far its working out. Got started in cars from a young age as my dad was a mechanic for Ford for many years. Also met Fred Steel(east coast rod icon) once when he came into a gas station I used to hang out at and I pumped some gas into his T bucket. Big deal to a 10 year old! Been through a number of cars over the years and am currently working on trying to finish up my current 16 year long project car, a 1947 Ford coupe. Yeah I know, I am not fast, but I am consistent! It has been chopped, lights frenched, trim and door handles removed, fenders molded and so on. About 2/3rds done and I have most of what I need to finish it. I don't have a small enough JPG to include so I will post one as soon as I do. Also got a 1950 Flattie I am working on. Been cleaned and pressure tested and have a complete Patricks rebuild kit for it as well a truck oil pan, some truck water pumps, Schnieder reground cam, and other odds and ends. Not sure what it is going into yet? I am leaning toward and A coupe (not sure as I am not a small guy) or a 50 Ford Convertible of some sort. Sort of hoping to exchange ideas and ask some questions of folks here with more knowledge than I have.
