Man! You guys know some stuff! Hello from the mountains above San Bernardino, California! Been lurking and finally thought I'd register and introduce myself. I don't have some orphaned rusting hulk in the garage just waiting to be fixed up. Wait a minute! I don't even have a garage!?! But I do have a carport and here's my inventory: Jeep Cherokee, beater, 1 each. Mazda Miata - love sports cars, had several MGs and gotta say this is the best British car never made! Yamaha V-Star Classic - I know, I know - it's a bike. But it answers the "why am I here" question. I love all things that burn fossil fuel, especially things that are rather classic in design. I've been considering hot rodding the V-Star and that's how I found this forum. A lot of things discussed here are similar, at least in kindred spirit, to the direction I wanna go. The topics interest me and you guys are a hoot! So, I'm finding a lot of inspiration for my project on this forum and enjoy living vicariously through every one else's projects. God knows I've had a plethora of them myself, including a certain pink '59 Imperial Southampton. Besides, who knows... I may find myself an orphaned rusting hulk in someone else's garage that I could drag home. It's not like that hasn't happened before!
welcome, the H.A.M.B will give you more ideas and inspiration than you'll know what to do with. be prepared to find lots of stuff you never knew you needed until now.
