Welcome from another newbie. The Olds will be cool but maybe you'd reconsider the engine swap? A freshened 394 will move the 'mobile right along, just my 2 cents.

  4. Welcome, Dana !

Looking forward to seeing progress on the Olds. Nice !

    Hey Johnny

ME TOO lol- simnce its a non paying project , of course its the last to be worked on.....

So far it has some cool fender skirts and the fire wall is gonna be moved in and up to make a better engine compartment.

I like the idea of the BB- mighta considered somehting else, but since we already have one in the family (our 56 BILLET KING has a 4545BB) we had tons o extra parts to use ...

Planning to have a cool two toned paint job, probably an oriental blue type on the bottom nad silver w/ mini metal flake on the roof. Add some wild strpining and Ill be good to go.

Keep the 394, it's much cooler than a BBC, and will make decent power to move it down the road....

    Any takers? It runs too

I guess the car will be lower on cool engine factor. Oh well- then Ill have something to strive for. ;)

  13. NEVER be sorry you're a woman, chick, dame, gal, whatever!!!! I'm rather fond of the femine form of our species.

Welcome from on old FNG. You'll probably like it hear, most everyone I've talked with has been cool. Don't sweat those that give you doo-doo, most of it's all in good fun.

The Olds sounds awesome. Nuthin' like 672 square yards of sheetmetal to prep, sand, spray, and wax!!!

Sorry Larry- Butcher has no idea what goes on in our shop anymore (he doesnt work for us anymore- its been about a week ) - Actually I offered it to a guy who is coming from MN (I think) for free- If Steve wanted the motor he needed to talk to ME. Since we never heard anything after the initial 'yeah I want it' -and he never took it out of there after we asked him to do something with it- I offered it to someone else.

If STEVE is still interested since the other guy hasnt come thru (sorry Mike) - STEVE needs to get in touch with ME. He knows how. He's been chatting with Lenny since yesterday anyway.

Keith: It is a transaction between two people and you are not one of them. But thanks for playing.....;)

No mistakes and I wont get into a ******* contest. The motor was given to Steve 3-4 months ago. And "yeah I want it" usually cons***utes that I want it. The motor has been in Steves possesion for quite some time now, and was given to him by your husband. I apologize to anyone coming to get it, but the motor is no longer available. Maybe your husband shouldn't have given it away without talking to you, but he did. "Thanks for playing" though. Please do not respond as its not worth wasting space on this board for petty stuff. I only wrote this to inform whoever was coming to pick it up.

Yeah, the motor has been in my possesion since the motor came out 3-4 months ago. I have no idea what she is talking about, but my arrangement was with her husband, and the motor isn't even in the building so I guess she's giving away air. I guess there is a communication problem in the family.
