Love it! I am not a fan of the no hood look but I am actually looking forward to driving mine initially sans bonnet.

    Just pulling yer lariat

I got a call from my upholsterer and he moved my appt, was May 15 and is now the 28th of this month. I have three weeks to complete my wiring and have it running. Mrs Bandit and I went to see him yesterday to select the vinyl. Found a cool pearl white for the majority of the interior and a black vinyl that looks like leather for some seat accents.
I already designed the seat but I need to work on the upper door cards. I think just the pearl white and some creative stitching, anything else would look too busy in a small space like that.

I did add a warn winch with soft cable to my trailer for recovery but I would rather have the truck running. I have got to polish and hang the doors this weekend. So much to do. Stay tuned. Truck happening.

  11. Hey!! Stay away from my lariat you perv!!! oh.... I just googled the definition of lariat.... never mind...

It may look like a Kansas City whore house.

Not if they lose the superbowl. My wife is an Eagles fan, so for me and my house we will pray for Philly. Personally, I I have rooted for the 'boys since I was little (inherited them from my dad who was a huge Staubach fan). I have pretty much lost interest in the last 5 years though. I don't even plan to watch the game; I have a truck to build and football just isn't traditional anymore.

I despise sound deadening inside doors. But it’s worth the quiet…as long as your not on blood thinners

It is sort of ironic that they call that stuff second skin, you need a second coat when you're done.
Enjoying a soda and mending my wounds, back to the wiring in a few.

I mounted the speakers in the doors, I had to take the air file to the SS corner caps so they would not make contact with the paint once they are screwed down tight. Tomorrow the doors will get final polish inside and out and re-hung.

I'll be back when there's more to show. Sorry @Mart , I stole your line. It must be the blood loss.

You need to wear Kevlar gloves when you do this kind of work!

You got that right! If anyone steals my truck or my tools, there will be enough DNA evidence to prove they're mine. Hell, maybe a future owner will clone me so i can wrench on his truck.

I counted over 20 cuts on my hands and arms, I got blood everywhere. I guess that is why they don't make this stuff in white.

I did have a nice tall, iced crown and coke after I was done for the night. The wet, cold glass felt good on the outside and the whiskey felt even better on the inside.

Great quote there. I am glad to be done for the moment inside those doors. Polishing day today then back to wiring after work this week.

I added my jamb switches and courtesy lights under the dash, wired them up. I did put my dome light in and gave it a test. All along I was planning to isolate the dome light, it goes to ground through the mounting screws. I wanted it to turn on and off with the courtesy lights, but after installing it I don't think that is possible and a likely fault area after upholstery. It has an on/off toggle built in and I think I will leave it is a map light.

It likely won't be my only compromise as I wire it up.

Wait till your old enough to bruise at the slightest rub or bump on your arms.
I had a bitch of a job working on my wifes' Impala, the next day my arms looked like I had been wrestling an alligator.

I had a full cardiac (widow maker) arrest four years ago this month while I was out jogging (ironically trying to get into shape). I was on thinners for a year and I could bruise just scratching an itch.
