I just got this Bridgeport. I've wanted one since,,,well,,, forever. I've made due with lesser pieces of equipment, but was finally able to step up to a quality piece of machinery. It runs fairly quiet and came with several accessories. Plan to add a DRO this summer. But for now, i'm just going to make some chips and get to know this machine.

I got my 1936 Plymouth Coupe (see avatar) from a barn in Virginia (took me all last winter to get it running but I drove it this summer). Also, this fall I picked up a 1973 MG Midget which is not running yet but it will be in the spring. I thought I would use it to try autocross. It came with a roll bar.

I hav'nt came anything great this year except a pair of crosley motors, one stock and in pretty poor shape but the other ( which was locked up ) is an old T/Q alky motor that has a 1/4" steel strocker crank, .100 overbore, steel rods, full race cam, 4-1 barrel carbs, its tore down now and its gonna live, it will make some cool garage art, especially if it runs, and it will.

  9. Not like I saved this coupe but I did rescue it from a 27 year hibernation in 2009 on Mothers Day.

Now it's in hibernating in my garage and will have to wait until I finish the wagon to get started on the new chassis. :D HRP

I don`t have any photos but this year I did quite a few things.
I was able to save a `56 Ford from going to the scrapper along with a `56 Desoto, I picked up a `59 Ford that was wasting away in the fields of Tennesse whick will be used as my future Harley Hauler, I went against the grain and shipped a `53 Belair into the states instead of out, and I finally put a plan together to get my `39 Plymouth of the road.

I think that pretty much coves my year.

I bought and then resold or parted out/scrapped a bunch of cars this year, don't know if parting them out counts as "saved", but my biggest save of the year is this '55 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer convertible, which will be combined with my '55 Dodge sedan when I get around to it. It just barely escaped the crusher (next car in the row) to go to another junkyard for parts, where I was able to buy it whole.

Got my A running and made it to the Hamb drags. Scored a really rough 34 ford truck cab and traded Orange54 for some A rails for my next project. Didn't sell anything this year.

Been a good old car year for me.

Bought a '65 Mustang convertible rust bucket, traded it for a '92 Mustang LX coupe and some cash. Then picked up a '63 Galaxie station wagon. Sold it and bought a '63 Falcon convertible, sold it. Bought a '52 Willys station wagon, working on a trade. Picked up a '68 Cougar and a '54 Crestline 4 door. Also, found some nice body parts for my '64 Fairlane and got the engine ready for machine work, and invested some $$ in the Cougar, intake, carb, dizzy, valve covers, brake parts. tnrotter

I picked up a 41 chevy sedan back in March. I haven't done anything with it and I don't know if I ever will, but it was free.

I also "saved" a bunch of random parts that I pick up here and there: electroline tail light, bulls eye headlights, and some hard to find chrome for my plymouth.

Saved this Riviera from an Oak tree. Caught it before it did any real damage. Took about 4 hours to get the tree untangled from the door hinges.
