Hot Rods Yellow car - what color wheels

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Greg Stokes, Jan 17, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I have a set of solids that I want to run as an alternative to the ET's and Halibrands.

The will be mounted up on Coker Firestone dirt track tyres and ribbed fronts

Just wondered what pics maybe out there in HAMBland that could show colors.

Jakes coupe looked great with orange wires, black solids etc

    What is out there

    Thanks,

    Greg

Go black or brown... If you have a yellow car and red wheels, it looks as if Ronald McDonald drives it :)

Medium to dark gray, yellow pops on the car, dont need the wheels to stand out also. Dont like bright red, kinda cartoonish to me. Dark Maroon might be OK.

It will run faster with RED wheels!

  26. Hey guys - I will edit the first post and include another pic - its my yellow 32 roadster in the first pic

  27. Here - I have been thinking either yellow or black.
    Interior is black

  28. Ok, thanks mate. I'm sticking with the black with the baby moons and dress rings as first choice.
Second would be red, same with the dressing as the black. Even better wires with the stainless center cap.

    Doc.

PS, tyres need to be tall and the wheels at least 16s.

  29. Thanks - some times first instinct is the best way - I had been thinking black wheels originally

I have ribbed Firestones and 8.90x16 dirt track Firestones to go on them

Wanna get a few wheel and tyre combinations for it

    Thanks again
